HP Mini 210-1050NR 10.1-Inch Silver Netbook - 9.75 Hours of Battery Life Review

Got this a month ago. So far so good. I love the size and portability. It is the perfect size to walk around the house and and tote in in your purse. The pre-install HP programs were a pain, my computer wizard brother removed and loaded with standard Windows office and made life easier.

It’s a great little computer and meets my email and web surfing needs. The trade-off is the screen size is really, really, small and can be frustrating when trying to view a large page of web content. For the price its a great little tool!!!

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-MU27-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook with Kindle for PC (11 Hours of Battery Life) Review

I purchased the ASUS 1005PE-MU27-WT because I needed something for personal use and to show pictures. It has filled the position very nicely. It is not as convenient as the iPad but it can be used with USB accessories and run common programs as well as connect to a WiFi. It is not as fast as a desk top but it is very portable and the smaller screen is very workable. Like any portable style, an external keyboard is recommended though its keyboard also is very useable. For the commercial state of the art (Apple vs Microsoft vs Adobe) it was a very good compromise with all of the technical features though somewhat slow on processing speed but good on power consumption. The battery time may have been salesman specified rather than technically specified but I can get pretty close to a whole days worth of work on a single charge. I have never run out of battery between charges but have come close at about 6 to 8 hours. I can not think of anything I would add to it practically. It has been a good value for me and the Windows 7 Starter worked just fine for the things I wanted to do. The only bad draw back is the Windows 7 Starter and the marketing of the Windows 7 Home Premium. I thought long and hard before upgrading and almost did not. I am still unsure of what I gained. It is not an attractive marketing ploy. It would be great if it came loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium at an appropriately increased price. (Though no cost increase would be OK too.)

Gateway LT2119u 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - Over 10 Hours of Battery Life Review

Purchased the Gateway LT2118u (with Windows 7 starter) and was skeptical about buying the Amazon recommended 2GB RAM upgrade because multiple people referenced having trouble with the system recognizing the extra memory. The Amazon rep didn’t know…he recommended I contact Gateway…that was difficult…no phone number listed. After researching on-line, I saw where several people stated that they just upgraded the BIOs from ACER and the computer recognized the upgrade. I decided to purchase Amazon’s recommended RAM (2GB 256Mx64P SODIMM 5300) from Cruial…if it failed, I would return it. I installed the memory using Gateway’s website procedures and it worked perfect…booted the computer and it recognized the memory. Computer works recognizably faster! By the way, I didn’t change the computers BIOs…it is still ACER ver 1.15.

Last week I got my Acer Aspire One Blue Sapphire with N270 processor. I wanted to ASUS Eee PC with the latest N280 buy the CPU, but I had the idea to buy because there are 10-inch diagonal. I was for smaller screen size and this Acer Aspire One AOA150-1447 sought to none. Asus is the only one N280 as processor's Netbook they have for now. price factor was not a big deal, it was only $ 25 more if I had soon, but I am so happy that I think Acer Aspire One with GOTsuch a nice screen size and it is extremely mobile. The sound quality is not good enough right, but there is a speaker with headphones, it is justified. I know a lot of reading about this netbook, I surf around the Internet Wi-Fi spots and it's pretty cool to have it. So many people still do not know what are netbooks. After no-turn-off CD drive could be for some people, but that's not a big problem. We can have things back and forth on the network. The other thing to backup the entire OS, you have toa bootable USB drive with his picture put on it. I will put it on video, how to do this because it is very important, and they contain no recovery CD or something like that just in case, when disk broke even. The netbook, Acer recovery software is installed, which in turn all the OS, it is factory, but only up when working hard. ACER is Charing some $ 20 + shipping for the recovery CD. I got this almost a year ago, use it only on my home wireless network, and have had no real problems. A few minor issues were resolved by googling, reading the forums at [...], and just getting reacquainted with my router. From others’ experiences, I guess I’m lucky not to need Samsung support.
